I agree with you completely. No one can say that instruments in worship are a ticket to hell. If they're against one's conscience, as you said, that's another thing. I never thought that but I went along with the CoC because it's all I had at the time.

Love this. Because I serve and American Baptist/Cooperative Baptist Fellowship church, I listen to Keith Lancaster Worship and Zoe Group recordings on Spotify because the art of acapella is something I miss very much. I'm fed spiritually every Sunday by our wonderfully talented pianists' preludes and offertories. Both styles are valuable spiritual tools for nurturing the kin-dom of God.

I'm glad some churches are using music. I especially like to know that they feature young talent. I'm not into God but I agree it's up to the church members whether they want musical instruments or not. If I belonged to a church, I would want both forms of music because it's all music. Good blog post again, Tina!

I have been a Church of Christ minister for fifty years. I wholeheartedly agree with your post. I work with an a cappella church because I love the tradition... that's how our position should be stated. We are a cappella because we choose to honor our heritage and/or have a preference for it. Turning this into a salvation issue is a direct violation of clear passages telling us not to judge our brothers and sisters. Thank you for your excellent words...
